As you know, in recent times Israel has suffered an economic crisis which has caused a considerable deterioration in the situation of many families. They are in a difficult position involving personal embarrassment and frustration. It's hard to believe that many families are going hungry in Israel today.

The latest statistics publicized in the poverty report (read poverty report) say that over 1 million people are living under the poverty line in Israel, including ½ million children who have been born into a harsh reality of life.

The municipalities do all they can to aid the thousands of needy families in distress. However, due to budgetary problems, they cannot do enough.
HHC grants aid to immigrant and veteran families in distress whether they be religious or secular and regardless of origin.

We have decided to take action so that the needy won't be neglected and to expand the aid to needy families and prevent hunger.
