Home Renovation Makeover Team
The
intensity of change in Israel has magnified and compounded the
existing shortages to the point that many lives are being threatened.
The elderly holocaust survivors are especially vulnerable. It's hard
to believe there are still Holocaust survivors living in poverty in
Israel today.
Helping hands Coalition is joining forces with "Euroteam". Professional work teams of builders, joiners, electricians, plumbers, painters and volunteers from USA, Canada, Europe and the local community to renovate and refurbish desperately poor homes of Holocaust survivors in Israel. The years have taken their toll on the neediest survivor’s health and some live in atrocious conditions and some reduced to living in basements.
"It is such a blessing and an
honor to be included in this project. When HHC Home Renovation for Holocaust survivors contacted us and asked if I was interested in getting involved with the neediest Holocaust survivors in Israel, there was only one answer; Yes! Their individual stories of survival and coming through the holocaust have inspired us and had a great impact on our lives, and I know that every person involved in the renovation project will be blessed.”
It’s planned for the
Euroteam to make their first visit to Israel
soon to asses what needs be achieved to bring the apartments up to a high standard. The Team will meet with the holocaust survivors and plan with them a complete facelift to suit their taste.
As you are aware projects like this need big bucks and big hearts.
Follow the stories as they unfold over the next few months during the renovation.
